Most certainly worse with the intended malice. All the more ironic that many critics and audiences didn’t catch on that the over-the-top violence was meant as a satire according to director Paul Verhoeven. In the peak of Arnold/Stallone/Van Damme we got this absurdist dystopian action flick. Similar occurred with his adaptation Starship Troopers.

Apparently, a game-breaking glitch would occur if he did. Bethesda, in it’s infinite wisdom, wrote dialogue to make him refuse rather than fix the glitch.
