I think they really don’t believe in storytelling in the way traditional game writers do. They think enough simulation can replace good writing.
Personally I’m certain they are wrong, and it’s tragic that they own the Elder Scrolls IP.
On my redemption playthrough (send help)

I just hate the way they write headlines. They know people skim the absolute surface so why do they write <lie>, says terrible person
That ain’t me, I barely post… Though I do sometimes say too much.
A lot more ink is going to be spilled on this as it unfolds, and that too is what the people voted for - drama.
You think I’m being melodramatic? Historians make careers on turning points like this. We can never know exactly what will happen next, but we can at least be sure that normality is not on the menu.
This election is likely going to be looked back on as the point when things became completely untenable in the 21st century. The American empire will implode, billions will suffer, the climate emergency will accelerate to maximum, and geopolitical dynamics will become incredibly unstable. Shit is about to go fully awry. This was it, and the people who are already bored about it have played no small part in getting us here.
If their takeaway from this decade’s comedy of errors is to make more Metroid, I’d say let them cook. Dread was a little too easy (a scrub like me could beat it) but they could do worse than keep fine tuning that recipe.
They’re afraid to make journalism look as cool as this
This shit ain’t nothing to me
Give this man a Fleshlight and a mattress and push him out to sea. He ain’t thriving, hangry for that Harris voter balloon knot like it’s a Cracker Barrel steak. Fuck outta here with that Roman empire shit.
Tell that to their targets
I thought that was only when they fart… Or is that just another thing I shouldn’t have said out loud
There might be a silver lining to a muted reaction here, if a third party can expect to send troops to support Ukraine and also face no backlash.
He was definitely always a narcissist, but the drugs haven’t helped.
You’re a general with political ambitions, and you’re sabotaging the strategies of a rival with malicious compliance. Who knows really, the point is that there isn’t a good reason for it because we don’t know who in that chain of command might benefit - and the null hypothesis that it’s an unforced error definitely can remain in play here, I’m not discounting that at all.
It’s too simple to assume Putin is the only one in Russia with an agenda, even though so much power has been consolidated with him.
Good to see y’all showed up with receipts, I only have enough mental bandwidth for hunches right now
From the updates I’ve seen, I get the sense that Russia is fighting through the culmination of their multi-front offensive in hopes of making gains ahead of the muddy season. I try not to remark too much about casualty rates, but the increase in tandem with the low ratio of tanks does seem to speak to this bit of speculation (not a military expert or even a “war nerd”, just following along as a layperson mind you).
So few tanks to so many men.
I’m not a combat drone. I’m a drone watching a drone intercept another drone.
I should have said more, for once. I meant simulation more to describe the Bethesda house style, which seems to be this idea that having apples that can roll around on a table or whatever is immersive and engaging enough that you don’t need Michael Kirkbride hanging around putting weird metaphysical shit all over the place, actually. I wasn’t saying they were good at it, only that it appears to be what they think.
