This is not animated though, so it can’t be the quality of the animation… The drawing quality rather? Sorry for being pedantic lol but I love some good animation.
Well technically you’re right (I think?), it was a still frame. Maybe I should title it differently. I just want to show how much effort is being put into even those still frames.
Obviously animated scenes are simpler but still, everything is very detailed and incredibly fluid.
Character expressions are… well very expressive and portray emotions very well, background art is also absolutely amazing creating that specific summer atmosphere…
In short: A1 studio is cooking with this series.

True though. All this quality will be useless, if the show turned out to be a powerpoint presentation with good quality images.
I’m with you, I see anime fans call image details or even art direction “animation”. If it’s on the screen it’s “animation”, seems like.
I know they don’t have any I’ll intentions, but sometimes I’m afraid this downplays the effort that went into the actual animation.
