Oh really? I imagined it just to be the “elite” type players left.
Not my sweet France!! XD
I’m gonna have to check this out and see what’s up with it at some point. Thanks for the info

Yeh I didn’t imagine it was be that enjoyable but then I could have been wrong.
I was aware of cncnet but didn’t realise they had made a balance patch. To be fair it has been a long time, maybe i should revisit, although online I’d get absolutely stomped these days I’m sure.
Red Alert 2 was the last good Command and Conquer game in my opinion, I know Generals had a big following but I couldn’t get into anything after RA2.
How did it play on the steam deck? I’ve been playing a bit of Tiberium Sun lately but RA2 will always be my favourite, it could use a bit more balancing in multiplayer though.
Yes! But not into a 3D engine. Loved some Arctic circle, everyone start in the corners and have a race for the derricks and airports!
I still remember so many moments from this game and I haven’t played it since release, such a great game!
Following the blood trail in the pitch black in particular I always remember for some reason, probably the creepy baby cries that accompanied it.
Journey - This game brought me to a sort of Zen, it is calm and peaceful and was just a wonderful experience that didn’t out stay its welcome. By the end of it I just felt like I had had a nice uplifting experience.
Fallout games - Yeh this may not seem like an uplifting game experience for most people and I would generally agree but on a personal level I do find them uplifting by the end for them following reason. I have always picked up the modern fallout games when I have been quitting one substance or another in the past. There is something about the desolation of the people and the environment within those games with mirrors the desolation I felt withing myself at these times in my life. Working through the stories draws me in and helps me forget about whatever it is my body is telling me I “need” even if it is only for a few hours at a time. Multiple times though these games have helped me get through those feelings and so therefore for me they have a certain uplifting quality, like a weird unexpected safe space.
Nah I’ve never had issues with latency and don’t play anything competitive I’ve always just prefered wired to be honest. My favourite controllers were the wired 360 controllers that got rid of the massive bump at the back and were a really nice weight. I wish they did an official modern wired only version.
Yeh it was the text that was throwing me. I’ve customised my own controllers with different coloured buttons etc before so that part was easily explainable but the text is professionally added and I never knew that was a thing people did (seems like a waste of money to me)
Turns out it is a design labs custom one as per the other responses though. Learn something new every day!
Yeh this one cost me £4 and came with a recharchable battery pack. I’ve always used my controller wired (playing on PC) but now maybe I’ll try wireless!
Cheers man for the reply. Yeh it seems like this is the case I just didn’t know that it was a thing.
I’ve bought coloured buttons and modded my own controllers before but it was the text on the bottom that was throwing me as it has been professionally added! I didn’t know that design lab was a thing :)
Yeh, it is unfortunstely a micro USB controller but it cost me £4 with a recharable battery pack inside so I’m not gonna complain at all. Just didn’t know where it had come from! Thanks for the reply :)
Cheers for the reply! Looks like it is custom after all :D
I knew custom controllers were a thing but honestly the quality looked too good that I presumed it wasn’t a custom one. Thank you for the reply though! Solves that mystery :D
Thank you for the info, I just presumed it wasn’t custom as it looked too well done and I wasn’t aware of this service. Thanks so much for the reply!
Same as. I played it for about 2 hours not really getting very far the. the server went down for like 2 - 3 weeks (this is in early access) so I refunded. After it was back up all I heard about it was massive gank groups and the inability to play at all solo so I never bothered.
I wonder how this game will be different!?
The idea sounds very very similar to Last Oasis. I heard that just turned into a gank fest on launch so I never played, not sure if it is any better now.
Bad Company 2 was peak, it has been all downhill from there!
Meh. Skate made THPS feel like trash.
All good man, appreciate the reply. I’m tempted to give it a go now and see if I can set up my own hybrid control mapping using the touchscreen as a mouse and attach a keyboard to see what kind of experience that offers, I feel like it could either be decent or horrendous but worth a try xD
