  • They are forced. They fight against the Ukrainian Army for their survival, because being drafted means they will probably die at this point. If they could keep avoiding the army, they would probably survive until this madness ends.

You can have your side on this and think Ukraine is fighting for survival, but that’s a point of view, an idea. Some facts are:

    1. Ukraine is currently loosing this war. It’s even territorial.
    2. Ukraine is loosing support from their allies. And if Trump wins, which is somehow plausible, they’d be practically alone.
    3. Recently drafted citizens are just that, they are not soldiers. With their morale, they probably aren’t even fighters.
    4. A good chunk of the remaining Ukrainian people don’t want to fight no more.
    5. Drafting more inexperienced citizens will at best slow down the course of the current events.

  • Until now. And I’m afraid that’s the point the USA government wants to make with this barbaric measure. They will only leave Cuba alone if the American people demands it in exchange of enough votes or until the USA becomes a contested hegemon or until Cuba gives away everything they’ve fought for decades because, shit, it sure is terrible to keep holding on. To me, it doesn’t matter if they can’t resist anymore and give everything away, they are already a nation of giants, but I will always hope for the people of the USA to finally take over their electoral system and start taking decisions by themselves as in a true democracy.

  • I don’t know what’s the easiest way to do it because my installations are all kind of custom, but I’d say make some free space (50 GB probably to start with) from within Windows and then tell the Linux installer to use the free space in the disk and that’s basically it. If those are your programs you are ideal to be running Linux, though, you may want to try actual Linux music players.

“People help other people because it makes them feel good”. I’d say the meaning is “people help others in need so they can feel good”. Is there a problem with this? If someone in need of help receive that help, they will feel alleviated, while people giving help will feel good. I don’t know, it sounds great to me. Even if the helping ones wouldn’t feel a thing, like robots, it would be still great, in my book, because someone in need is being attended.

Now, if the helping ones feel bad for helping, and the others feel good, then I can see an issue. The only problem I could see is to be angry because there are people in need to start with.
