There’s only one grocery store in my city that bakes a specific type of bread from my home country. I make sure to buy 2 packs almost every week so they notice that they are being bought and don’t stop making them.

This happened to us, somewhat. We basically found the house ourselves and the process was streamlined enough that the agent barely needed to do anything except schedule dates like inspection, closing, etc. I know they are supposed to protect the buyer and make sure nothing fishy happens, and I’m sure they were doing that in the background (nothing bad happened overall), but boy was it one of the easiest commissions they probably got.
I think someone who has the self determination to go ahead with this expects to not survive. Doing it and unexpectedly surviving and having to live a likely painful rest of your life is different.
I was actually surprised Netflix took this on given some themes and scenes can be considered controversial today. So I’m cautiously optimistic because I feel like they might change some of it to tone it down.

Yeah it’s wild that a lot of users likely don’t even know reddit is a website. They only know it as an app on their phone.
Is this similar to how rdx works? I use it when I need to check my city’s sub from time to time.
I’d let it go the moment I see the thief’s filthy hands on my sandwich.
Mastodon (microblogging, follow users) and Lemmy (forum, follow topics) cater to different kinds of users. I don’t subscribe to personalities, I subscribe to discussion topics, that’s why I’m on lemmy and not mastodon.
Thanks, now I’ll always see it.
It really amazes me how theater actors are able to memorize an entire play.
I unfortunately am not able to watch current shows as they air, but the latest one I saw was Kaiju No. 8 which I believe came out earlier this year. It was pretty good, and I hope they do season 2 soon.
Aren’t tiktok videos edited in-app as well? I’ve never used it, but seeing all these tiktok videos by random people that are all edited and filtered like it took some skill just made me assume the editing features of these apps are so advanced now that just about anyone can “edit” a video nowadays. Back then you had to know how to use photoshop and aftereffects to edit stuff.
There’s nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.
I actually know someone like this. He’s been in software engineering since the early 2000. I recently saw a post from him that he’s now a firefighter recruit.
Hell, even if you can easily afford way more than that, you are still closer to the person who can only afford $2 of food a day than a billionaire.
