  • The outside they are pretty different, but the inside, as far as I have seen, is the same. There are three dominant species across the galaxy and each station is inhabited by that system’s species. And there are also pirate stations. Those are different than the others. There used to be abandoned stations in abandon systems, but I have not yet played enough (I mostly play during expeditions currently) to comment on those. Lastly there is the anomaly, I will not go into detail about that because of spoilers. But it is different than the others.

One thing I will tell you is once you get close enough to a station’s entrance you are put onto autopilot for landing.

  • How are you liking AstroBot?

I have only played 3 levels so far, but it was a lot of fun. There are some neat mechanics in it.

I have let WoW dominate my life for many years and missed out on a lot of other games. So I have never played Mario Odyssey. My brother and his son have played nothing but AstroBot since it released.

    His review of it:

Ahhh lol kk, yea cant help it, this platformer is truely badass Best one in series so far

  • Initially I heard about mastodon as a Reddit alternative, it was not. I have never been a Twitter user. I did create a Twitter account at some point, I only ever used it to post images from when I was at occupy Wall Street, and then later to follow a couple accounts for updates (Sean Murray of Hello Games). When I opened my own business I created a Twitter account for that specifically and used it to send out coupon codes and stuff like that.

Once musk bought Twitter I deleted both of my accounts. I had totally forgotten about mastodon, so I got on the list for a Bluesky code. Around the time I got my Bluesky code I heard about Lemmy, and then heard about mastodon again. Had my Bluesky code not arrived when it did, I would have created a mastodon account for my business instead of Bluesky. Since I never use either it is a moot point for me.

  • I am not a fan of the genre. But a friend I met playing EverQuest back in 99 started to play it because his 6 year old son wanted to play, so I started playing. I enjoyed playing with them, then my own son started to play with us too.

Were this not the case, I would never have played. My friend died in ‘22 and I mostly stopped playing. His son still calls me to play. But other than that I play other games.

If you like the genre, it is a good game. You can play 100% for free unless you needs skins (there are a number you get for free)
