Maybe watch dmesg when you plug in the drive?
Or look at the logs later. Journalctl -k -f should also show more logs than dmesg when you plug it it which may be informative.
I found the solution, we’re running debug builds in prod from now on
Lol I used to use it for that. About a year ago I tried to boot it and only 1 CPU came up and the memory was failing and before the bios crashed it was trying to boot but didn’t see the disks 😅 I looked at the board and one of the cpu socket brackets was cracked so I put it back in the shed
