Top 10 anime betrayals: @rikka@ani.social
I was hoping for a bit more lore and even more intense interrogation but it’s still was all right.
I think the writing during exposition and serious moments don’t flow like real conversations. It looks like a lot of telling and not enough showing from rule “show don’t tell”.
Is this action shonen or slice of life comedy? We will never know.

Films with subtitles
That’s copeium. Most people are too lazy to match meanining with words when wathing films. Ask any weeb if they know japanese from watching anime for years. (I don’t)
I satrted to pick up language from flashcards, childrens books and textbooks. Not from translated films. (english or japanese or russian)
I personally would if User didn’t post anything to communities on my (bookwormstory.social) or similar (ani.social) instance.
I saw that link rot on lemmy is real. Missing poop post. Hijacked links in posts from over a year ago. Images deleted. I don’t want to contribute to it.
The Alma - Hikaru dynamic of “Let’s do it!” but not having legs to go doing heroic things but Hikaru being told “You don’t need to do anything” and having low self esteem is really funny.
Aki is really cute in this frame.
This will be a painful watch due to a caricature of my religion judged by modern eye, and head filled with
from the day I was born.
As polish/english wikipedia claims Copernicus didn’t really have been made heretic for his work directly. There was an Ordinary that had been his rival and accused him of heresy. Although he was ostracized by some people. His work wasn’t presented as a theory but as hypothesis and didn’t made it to the banned books list until 17th & 18th century, when Kepler added some cool ellipses and made it an actual theory on how the world works.
The animation was superb
I really like the timing of different scenes and actions. The story is standard but so far I am enjoying it.
If you watch it again you can see that Ruby has light star in certain shots and dark stars in other. Great attention to detail.
The mood whiplash from music video just like an internet algorithm serving up whatever; was something else.
So Akane has wrong information about that body wasn’t in fact Aqua’s father / murderer. A witch(?) (She totally looks like a witch) has manipulated Rudy to begin searching for her own revenge on the manipulator . Akane gaslights Ruby that Aqua wasn’t searching for his revenge the whole time.
The viewers know who is the manipulator. Why does some random girl has star eyes?! Why the Murderer has star eyes? WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!!1111!!!???!?!
Why Aqua lost his eye!?
Ughhhh… That face…
Can’t wait for the next season. I have enjoyed my time watching growth of Aqua, Akane and Kana on stage.
Edit: MV from the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7E-tgmFuzw
This really slaps. Great fights. Superb Animation. Feels like deep worldbuilding. Good soundtrack. Great story boarding with match cuts.
Sadly I am not really the target audience but I will keep an eye on it. This could be a hidden gem for the fall season.
Also this:
This frame is brilliant. The reflection in the glass is of Ruby and Aqua.
Only Two shows managed to keep me interested.
Oshi no ko season 2 - At times I was on the edge of my seat.
Dungeon People - Very nice CGDCT show with an accent on comedy.
Also I was catching up with Apothecary Diaries but still got finale to watch.
P.S Bye Bye Earth got OST released this week. The only redeeming quality of that show.
Bye Bye, Earth - Vol. 1 - The Duel - (IMO best song)
Bye Bye, Earth - Vol. 2
So Clay finally feels at home in the dungeon. I wonder if Clay will find her father in the final episode next week (Probably not)
Also those black uniforms totally don’t give off executioner kind of vibes.
I have rewatched the murder scene again. And I am totally lost on everything that happened.
a) the one who claims is the father is alive
b) he is a different person than the murderer
b2) totally forgot about the manipulator
c) the one with DNA match (murder-suicide) is also totally different person.
So Aqua convinced himself that the murderer & father is already dead. And feels free to pursue happiness.
Akane want’s to support her boyfriend(?) and would try to steer him off from revenge
What is the Truth? What is the Lie? Does objective truth exists, or is it all just a believable fiction fabricated by the human mind?
There are a lot of red herrings and I am all for it.
Ikuta no kita - underratted because it’s avan-garde and my experience watching it was great. 6.39 vs my 9/10
As I have watched a bit more avan-gerde films like “mad god” and “Tetsuo: the iron man” I would not grade it the same.
Clay finally starts to ask questions about her father. There are more mysteries than answers it’s seems. So the predecessor developed a goblin substitute just so that they wouldn’t need surrogate mothers.

Not much to say about this episode. Things happen. We are told about why we should care but we don’t really care about the characters.
