  • Masachika busted?? Maybe Alya was too caught up in the moment to notice.

I waiting so long and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime. It’s not all romance and comedy, the debates were really well written and I loved the mind games.

When Yuki started analysing Masachika’s cheap provocation, I knew it was over. That whole segment flowed so well and I love how well they communicated that indirectly by tying all the lead up to it together.

I’ll get around to reading the LNs one of these days, just wanna catch up to Classroom of the Elite and Tsukimichi first.

I also haven’t properly looked at all the upcoming anime. I think I’ll comment on the pinned thread on the weekend. I noticed some bangers coming out.

  • To be perfectly honest, I don’t think Makoto’s feelings were mutual. Ryuji’s evaluation was correct on why Makoto was dating him. That said, I don’t think it’s a bad reason. That’s what dating is for. I think Ryuji made the right call.

I don’t think Makoto feels any romantic attraction to Aoi either. This is just a part of Makoto’s growth and experiencing new things.

That aside, I’m happy to see that Aoi recognises that she has friends who love her. It’s sometimes hard to love yourself, and even harder to believe that anyone else loves you. I have a feeling that when she finally comes face to face with her mother, it’s not gonna be pretty.

  • I realise that’s the point but I want to highlight it anyway. This isn’t yet another formulaic isekai. The story doesn’t revolve around Sensei. I love how the solution to all otherworlders isn’t to write a story and then banish them, but rather an actually compelling narrative conclusion. Suzuki returned to Earth after growing as a person, but nothing would change if Kaibara went back since he’s long past the point of redemption.

When I heard his backstory I was thinking “ugh, is this the explanation?” but I also had a feeling that Sensei would never accept such a story, so I was thrilled when he straight up called Kaibara boring! Naturally, all the pieces fell into place when I saw him hand Tama the glowing book and any remaining doubts I had about this anime were erased.

Now to add the manga to my ever growing list.
