True. But also as an American we damn near nuked Korea and Vietnam, so I’m not going to act like we’re better

Wait, really? I could’ve sworn my grandpa got drafted to Asia when I was in college
As a fruit, I know I’m blessed but they seem to disagree
Because intelligence tests were used to deny black votes in the reconstruction south. There are a variety of tricks that they’ve used from just giving harder tests to black people to giving tests that prioritize knowledge more common in white cultural experiences. And that’s not touching on the language issue as a means to deny immigrant votes
I definitiv think voting should be mandatory in the sense of you should have to go to a polling place or send in a ballot or statement of intent to not vote. Make it just as easy to vote as to not, but don’t actually make people vote
Agreed. We need more Americans to actually understand the responsibilities we hold and what we get for them. Voting isn’t fun, but it’s your damn job. It’s the price of democracy. Same as being aware of the issues and candidates. And don’t get me started on jury duty
I sincerely hope you’re right
Back when I was a Christian (and still today) people like him are why I have such an issue with sola fide. How you act should be seen as a crucial element of your beliefs. And while there’s room for forgiveness for failure, what you really believe is found in the way you strive and struggle to behave.
There’s a reason there’s a long history of Christian anarchism and communism. I’m not Christian anymore but I was raised one and it did influence my morality to the left
I’ve never met a teacher who says “doing things this way is extremely hard, but there’s another way that seems harder now but is ultimately easier” and meant anything other than “no seriously do it the second way because you’re just going to fail and be confused if you do it the first way”. Now that’s the generous statement.
The reality is that there is no archaeological or historical evidence of this particular gate. There is however immense theological evidence that Jesus of Nazareth, in the explicit canon of post Nicene Christianity, routinely demanded those who followed him to give everything in charity to those in need, to share without concern for the self, and to treat their fellow humans with the level of love and care they give themselves. But when someone actually does all that they wind up socially punished and/or sanctified.
Then he should give everything he has to the poor. A lot of people say they believe in the teachings of Jesus then act as though they merely believe in his divinity
I wouldn’t say it’s always had a ton of queer characters. The first game had a few bi characters and some transmisogynistic depictions of sex workers, the second had a bunch of bi characters and some transmisogynistic depictions of sex workers, and the third game had a few bi characters, a gay man, a well written trans man, and some lesbian characters written by someone who clearly hates lesbians.
But yeah you’re describing what I expected.
Yeah what next? Sam and Lily?

He was openly high when he committed to buy twitter
Ego. Ok also union busting but largely ego. Around the same time one of his children who happens to be trans from his first wife (who also publicly denounced him) publicly disowned him and his long term on again off again partner left him for a short lived fling with Chelsea Manning, a trans woman famous for going to prison for leaking human rights abuses by the military in the Iraq war. And around that time democrats started getting anti billionaire talking points going very mainstream. And so he began courting the right. He was already addicted to twitter and he found himself deep in the alt right pipeline.
The more reflection I give it the better DA2 is and the worse Inquisition is. DAO was a good turn based with pause of its era but it was 2 that was the best. My biggest problems with 2 are that it wasn’t finished (I want the Sera it was supposed to have not the one inquisition gave dammit) and Isabella’s lack of survivability/force mage just sucking. Meanwhile Inquisition fucking attempted to rehabilitate Cullen… and it had no Isabella or Merrill
That it’s a crossbow designed by a government in possession of nuclear weapons and the capacity to make and use more. Which is just kinda strange ya know
I would do that, but a lot of standup comedians have taken to ranting against people like me for daring to be offended when they insult us. I miss when I could just throw on any random standup comedy and have a good time without having to check if there’s a transphobic rant in it
Didn’t, but the general that dropped them on Japan was fired for frequently trying to nuke Korea.
We’ve come closer to nuking someone other than Japan than anyone but the USSR and China have
