Tbh, I’m fine with big AAAA games burning in financially, like Anthem or Redfall. The AA games from smaller devs are great, and I just don’t buy the next game if they buy out a smaller studio and all the OG devs go on to building a new company. That’s how we got games like Half Life, when MSFT devs got sick of working for a mega company and decided to build their own game.

If they buy out a studio and all the devs leave and form a new studio with the proceeds of the prior studio, it means more quality indie titles.

More games and a Matrix-esque visual file manager where you could walk through various libraries of documents, files, videos or pictures in 3D space, or proportional size like WinDirStat would be cool.

The lack of good games has really made VR hard to enjoy. I have five good evergreen titles and not much else.

Tldr; she lived till 74 and had a family and children, so it looks like it all worked out after nearly dying two or three times from the crash/burn/elevator crash.

Single player games with a good story and fun replayability are what I’m after. Or co-op. Occasionally, a fun multiplayer with a risky, innovative design like Lethal Company.

If a game requires me to collect 100 goddamn feathers, or press X 20 times to “survive” a heavily scripted encounter, you are doing your game wrong. Look at Black Mesa, look at Subnatica. Look at the games that took risks like Lethal Company or Elite Dangerous. You don’t have to appeal to everyone. You have to tell a story well, and the gameplay should be unique and interesting. Larian understood that with Divinity 2, and made improvements to both story and gameplay in BG3.

This place looks like a wizard boss fight location for a big d&d campaign. Sad it’s gone.

Looks pretty good, though the lack of particle effects is a bit odd. There are no decals from skidding tires either. Perhaps just alpha footage.

War is a terrible thing. Entire generations of teens and men are lost. It’s why Putin’s war is unbelievably wasteful. There was no reason to fight, he just did it to keep unrest down. People like him are monsters.

Just buy a PC, it will last longer and you can do a lot more with it. The PS6 will probably be even more expensive.

GaaS has made gaming so boring. Fun for like, two months. But with no story and tons of nerfs, they quickly become rather samey feeling. I miss the Halo 2 days where games had a story. Or genuine innovation, like Rocket league, and its ability to be cross platform. That was GaaS done right, until Epic bought them and fucked it all up.

Don’t forget the meta where a new paid DLC weapon is super unbalanced and great for two weeks until the devs nerf it into the ground and everyone goes back to the default weapons that are just ok.

I wish they didn’t break the flamethrower. I knew it wasn’t going to last, as it was way too fun and dangerous. I like gameplay where the weapon is just as dangerous to the player as it can be to enemies. That mindset has been bred out of modern shooters, though.
