It’s opt out
Ah thank you for the clarification, I assumed it would be more flamethrower based based on the videos I seen, but never looked at it.
Probably the main question is how long can Europe defend itself for. This conflict showed us that EU stockpiles of conventional weapons are questionably small for a real conventional war. That’s the bit that we needed US for. We utterly failed to provide sufficient ammunition and weapons for Ukraine by ourselves.
Is it a plane? Is it a drone? Is it a bird?
Not with thermite, it spreads flammable liquid everywhere. Look for “dragon” drone videos if you want. Zombies are unlikely to try to to jump over the burning fluid and if anything probably will spread it further and on themselves so eventually will burn. It’s probably one of thepre effective remote ways to deal with them in modern warfare. Especially since drones are bloody loud so zombies are more likely to chase the drones instead of operators who can be entirely hidden.
Ukrainian thermite drones would like to have a word
Totally a keyboard warrior reply, but I suspect that since most of those videos show individual or pair of soldiers, its after their squad was destroyed and these guys are remainder. They probably also hear a lot of drones flying around during the day, so even if they are loud as hell, maybe you “get used” to it and don’t react as quick.
Probably don’t expect every soldier to carry shotguns so depending who survives the first contact, might not have a right weapon. Also I don’t actually know what is Russian squads go to load-outs are. It would be interesting to know if Ukrainian squads who have western training keep up with similar load outs as touted by western armies (where people have roles and equipment to suit). But as we rarely see videos of successful interceptions, its probably not something Ukraine would be quick to share.
Take all this with a ton of salt though, I have no sources, just assumptions. Would be great to hear from professional soldiers with actual combat experience though.
Wow that’s mental
Surprised Pikachu face! 😂
There have been videos and other evidence of both static and mobile (non-flying) drones on both sides. In some village Uranians had created remote controlled machine gun nests that help of Russians for a while and on the other side there been evidence of remote controlled bmp’s stuffed with explosives being sent towards Ukranian lines. Though not heard of either for a while.
Can you actually use steamdeck as a desktop PC though? Can it drive dual external monitors? Is it a reasonable “minipc” type thing? How much power does it munch on in idle?
Can I maybe put some other linux distro on it? So many questions
If it hits them, it hits you. Modern tabks rely on alot of electronic equipment, from sights to targeting and other systems. Are you going to shield all of them? How much would the tabk cost? What good is all that shielding if an artillery shell or atgm can take out the tank?
Its probably a question of:
Can you even hear the whizzing of a drone from inside the tank?
I do use it… Sad 😢😭
