Isnt this basically what the Catholic Church did in Dogma when they introduced Buddy Christ? Like down to the motivations and everything?

This makes perfect sense to me.
At the start of your career, you want to be important enough that people will care about your opinions, which means getting invited to meetings where things are discussed.
Stage 2, you’ve been there long enough and know how things work so you can offer input and help make decisions.
Stage 3 is the point at which people will come to you for input outside of meetings because that’s easier. You just want to do your job and generally don’t care about decisions anymore unless they bring sweeping changes.
The UNs mission is mostly to exist as a forum for the leaders of a nation to discuss issues in a known-safe environment. It’s not meant for oversight, nor is it meant to police anything, even if it is sold that way sometimes.
Ubisoft’s bean counters had some trouble reading the market on this one.
They left Steam because they felt the 30% cut that Valve takes for sales on their platform is way too high, but didn’t account that users of Steam are really entrenched into that platform and don’t want to leave just for the chance to play an Ubisoft title. So instead of seeing 70% of Steam sales of their games, they saw 0.
Just get better at hunting. You go out for hours at a time and never come back successful.
It’s a good thing that the pantry always has food, otherwise we’d be in trouble.
I’ve yet to find a better controller than the DS4.
It has the perfect feel in the hands. And with Steam’s controller support, Ive yet to have an issue with functionality or button remapping(I haven’t played crosscode, so no info there)
I love this place. Thank you for keeping it alive.
Oh yeah, Project management is one of those roles that is especially vulnerable to the Peter Principal.
In order to be a good one, you need to be part therapist and part hostage negotiator while also being one of those weirdos that enjoys meetings
A few competent project managers would probably help things quite a bit, actually.
Having a single point of contact for several disparate teams of people doing real work so that they can actually do that work, instead of spending extra time in endless meetings arguing over the best way to implement something that requires multiple people’s input is a valuable tool to have.
Think of them like a tank in an RPG, taking all the meeting hits that would otherwise decimate the effectiveness of people actually putting the real work in.
Nintendo doesn’t go after fangames like this
Unless you’re like AM2R, Pokemon Uranium, Mario 64 online, or any of the the other numerous fangames, romhacks, or mods that Nintendo threatened to sue into oblivion.
This looks incredible. I hope it evades the eye of sauron that is Nintendo’s lawyers
The Lynx KF41 is fucking busted.
Giving 8 +1/+1 counters for free is absurd.
My friends and I do a bi-weekly anime night where everyone chooses a series and we watch an episode of each; kind of like a curated Toonami block. One of my friends chose the original Urusei Yatsura.
We’re currently on episode 152, with many more remaining.
Those systems are well designed (save for the part that they’re using password expiry)
There are a lot more shitty programmers out there than good ones
This usually means that your old password expired and the system didnt notify you. Basically, your account is inactive until you set a new password.
Mid-range GPUs still exist, they just dont get the same coverage as the top-end cards. An RTX 4060 is set at $300 which is much cheaper than a PS5 or Series X
Ive played in a few of these. It’s an absolute blast once you get your settings dialed in and balanced to everyone else. If they’re not, then the player in the smallest game tends to have a lot of downtime.
The only downside is that the participants need to be familiar enough with their chosen game to do a randomizer which means roping in casual players is difficult.
Also, there are a massive number of unsupported games that you can play like this that are not part of the main website. https://multiworld.news/apworlds.html
