4 days agoWhat country did you serve for? AFAIK, the US is one of a handful of countries that don’t have a law stating that soldiers are obligated to refuse unlawful orders and to report those who gave those orders.

3·6 days agoThe real deal use radar/lidar sensors, so you can replace the whole sensor suite with 4 90-degree sensors facing upwards with the added benefit of being able to track not just range but speed and trajectory.
Slap the computer on the back of the helmet, and it’ll even work as a counterweight for the night vision goggles!
Interestingly, underground lines aren’t feasible in my hometown because of how close the water table is to the surface. Any trench deep enough to bury cables in would have to worry about flooding with groundwater or saltwater in some places.
The water table is so high that not only are there many places where basements would flood 100% of the year, but the majority of homes still have septic tanks instead of town sewage lines, and you can find houses where the lawn has been raised up with 3 or 4 feet of concrete to raise the septic tank to comply with modern regulations to avoid contaminating the groundwater supply.
2·10 days agoI wrote that incorrectly, it wasn’t a few days after he met Putin, but a marked spike over the months after. He requested classified documents related to CIA operations like 3 days before the meeting with Putin. It’s also a series of events over a couple of years because it wasn’t until at least a year later that the FBI raided Mar a Lago and found more classified documents related to intelligence operations. There’s no real way to know for sure unless Trump or Putin admit it, but the correlation was and is suspect by even the intelligence operations of the government and is partially why the inquiry into Trump was called for in the first place.

If Europe gets into a war, the US will side with Russia. Trump has been a Russian asset since the 80s, and it’s clear that he gave Putin classified documents relating to American spies and informants during his last presidency when they suddenly started dying a few days after he met with Putin. And even more classified documents relating to American espionage against Russia than the ones he requested before that meeting were found in Mar a la Go.

14·18 days agoThis was my thought as well. Too many years of retail has left me with an instinctual hatred for holidays. Like how Labor Day is a holiday for the rich to “celebrate” the working poor who have to work that day.

112·1 month agoHis entire audience is “anti-woke” weirdo conservative chuds. I made the mistake of clicking on a video of his on YouTube talking about a trailer or something, and half the comments were people yelling about how the game was gonna suck because of women or something.
1361·1 month agoThe Muskrat is the reason why I can’t even feel good about anything SpaceX does. Every time they do something to propel space exploration forward, all I can think about is how he and his cronies are going to use it to privatize space for profits.

12·2 months agoThere’s a much better correlation between wealth and conservatism than age. Almost like those who begin to benefit from the system of oppression are incentivesed to keep it going.

Appreciate it, I remember reading many years ago that after WW2, most countries agreed to sign into law that soldiers were legally obligated to disobey unlawful orders and report the person who gave the order to their superiors, but that the US was one of the nations that didn’t.
But a quick search brings up nothing but articles talking about what you posted, so I can’t find any info on it. I wonder if in other countries it’s enshrined outside of military law, and that’s the distinction? I have no clue.
