Why would you use a controller with the steam deck? It is a controller.
As long as you’re using Firefox strict mode, yes.
Lemmy is an api. A website is just another app here. Besides, there are other web interfaces you could use. Have you tried any?
Eh. If I need it it will show up in search, which is how I would look for it anyway.
WebKit? This is a Lynx town.
I disagree. If you can’t merge into a lane without taking up someone’s safety zone, then you don’t have enough space to merge. If the car in front of you wrecks, you have eaten up the reaction time of the driver behind you, greatly compounding the damage; especially for you, who gets front and rear ended.
The rule I was taught is: if the driver behind you has to even touch their brakes, you don’t have enough time/space to merge.
How many new accounts do you want? I delete and recreate my account all the time. I’d be happy to make new accounts and put a bunch of comments in them for you. I could make one a week or something.
Yeah, this is my take at it as well. Sure, your big beefy PC looks better, but can you play CP2077 at 30,000 feet on a transatlantic flight? Because I have!
Performance could definitely be better. It would be great if the deck could reliably push 720p 60fps all the time, and maybe some day we’ll get there. But for the moment my deck can push most of the games I throw at it to at least 40 fps, and it can hold 45 decently enough, and that’s good enough for me.
I play during lunch at work, when I go shopping with the wife, family holiday when nothing is going on, busses, waiting for Dr. appointments, the train, all kinds of places. My steam deck opened up gaming to me by making it available in small pockets of otherwise unused time.
And how can you even know what meaningful change is without staying on top of current events?
Wow! Very Hot!
🏴☠️ yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum 🏴☠️
Plus if you wait a few years PlayStation will release it on Steam and then you can play it on the deck.
That isnt how it works. The speed of light is the speed of causality; it doesn’t have anything to do with light. Its just the fastest speed at which things can happen. Light, being massless, happens to travel at that speed.
In your scenario, the light beam would just be stretched along its length and the 2D interface on the surface of the moon would just “lag behind” from your POV. But it would lag at the speed of light.
Maybe, but you have better tools to deal with it. Filter out words most politics and your experience will improve a lot. For me, it isn’t a 100% filter because I still want to be exposed to that, but I want less of it. Tag anyone that looks like they’re operating in bad faith. If you see the tag again and they’re still shitty, just block them. Block whole communities if you want or even entire instances. You’re in control of what you see here.
My Lemmy experience has been perfectly cromulent since I started blocking and filtering.
