I also ran Pop for a couple of years before moving to Bazzite. Bazzite has KDE, Wayland, and can run .deb software through distrobox. It’s the best.

The $100 preorder was refundable. They could have pulled out at any time.
It is true that some podcasts make money via other means, for sure. I didn’t intend to say all podcasts, but many (most?) do have ads as the only way they make money. However, do you not want a Sponsorblock for others so you can have your cake and eat it too, just like you do now with adblockers? That’s how you really give them the middle finger.
That’s just not true. There will always be ads in podcasts, no matter if I listen to them or not; it’s how they make money. That’s not apathetic, it’s a fact. If someone made a sponsorblock for podcasts, it would help immensely, which is what my original comment was about. Blaming one single person for there being ads in podcasts is something else.
Unfortunately, the masses will still listen, so myself not listening will do jack-shit. The real way to do that would be a service or app that strips them out entirely.
If you have some magical podcast app that can do that I would love to know what it’s called.
Yeah, Nvidia is pretty bad on Linux in general in my experience. Especially with Wayland. AMD and Wayland run very well, however.
I run the non-deck variant with the traditional DE (KDE 6, in this case). I admit that I haven’t tried the deck variants but it should work similar with the difference being the default environment to boot into, irrc.
I use Bazzite exclusively on desktop. It’s pretty much unmatched, and it “just works” out of the box especially on AMD.
150TB isn’t unheard of for an institution. Some users here have more than that in their homelabs.
If only they had access to AWS or Azure who both have physical data transfer options…
My TBs of backups took months to go over my 1Gbps fiber.
Pets are a lot for sure, and you shouldn’t have them if you don’t have the capacity or bandwidth to care for them. That being said, my pets have drastically helped my mental health. I can’t imagine what going through the quarantine would have been like without them.
It wouldn’t be the first time they claimed this. Wait for the researchers and users to validate first.

Burning was originally used in the sense that to write to a disc you used the laser to “burn” in your data, at least irrc. It just started to be used interchangeably for copy and write operations. These days I think “rip” makes more sense.
My troops are just passing through.
Quite the supply chain attack.
The government should nationalize his companies as a reward.
It always makes me stay up for like two extra hours because I see some shit that either disgusts me, infuriates me, or both.
They have an Nvidia version; although it should be mentioned that Nvidia doesn’t always play nice with Wayland. If you use X11 with Nvidia instead, it’s a much better experience and you still get most of the benefits of using Bazzite.
Personally, I switched to AMD due to the better Linux support. Wayland on AMD is fantastic.
