No not a real concept, thank god. Got lucky to be born in northern Europe. Seems to be one of the best spots on the planet.

America has freedom of owning the speech. They almost got it right. :p
I’ve killed people for breathing the same air as me. It’s MY air goddammit.

Kagi is making some money by providing value that Google can’t. I’m not sure if it would be enough for mozilla, but Kagi is making a profit now.
Sadly, both of these companies still depend on Google.
Yeah I agree. I will never be filthy rich but I will also never be very stressed out or risk ending up on the street. It’s a fair deal. :)
The US values company profits over all else. It’s different in Europe because we have legal protections.
Oh here he is again, talking AI AI AI… Their stock value is already so high it will take over 50 years for it’s value to match it’s current price.
Sure but the evaluations of the magnificent seven stocks makes no sense at all. Nvidia price to earnings is at 55, which means it will take 55 years before the current stock value matches its actual value.
It’s common for tech companies to be valued higher than their worth because of future profit possibilities, but Im 100% confident AI won’t give the effects in extra sales that the market hopes for.
Consumers actually try to avoid most the Ai crap. Only some of it is marginally useful. Maybe it will become more useful, or maybe not.
I knew someone would see the logical flaw here… :)
I leave at 3 pm on office days to beat traffic. Everyone does that. What is this 5 pm thing he talks about? Must be America…
That’s very generous of them. I thought it was just 3. :)
A colleague was talking about this game yesterday. Appearently it’s quite fun.
This is technical but you could set up a wireguard vpn server and let your friends connect to your computer. Then you all look like you are sitting in your home network from the steam servers point of view.
Or just install Tailscale which makes it even easier and is free for like 3 computers.
Your friends will have a bit of lag though since all their connections have to go through your computer to the steam network. But I believe it may not be noticeable.
Yeah I can understand if you play it for the story, then it’s annoying to not be able to continue easily. Good point.
I bought high end graphics cards from amd because I game under Linux, and Nvidia drivers are crap there. Or at least used to be, they are supposed to be improved now? But I already left that camp…
I used to like difficult games growing up. Felt like it was something worth playing for. If it’s too easy, what’s the point of just running through the game without any obstacles…
Fishing fits that game… I always had the feeling that there was no point to doing anything in the game. I guess I like some kind of progress feeling.
First thing in their privacy statement:
You can claim that they are lying but I personally do not think they do.
Google is not private and they track you on every web page, building up a profile of your searches, weather you are logged in or not.
I don’t think it will be as good as the first one. That game had a unique feeling. I spent many hours trying to beat the big storm and had tons of fun. Played it over and over again many times until I finally understood how to get through the storm.
I hope this one is also difficult and rewarding, but I doubt it will be as good as the first one, now that we expect so much from it.
