First time souls-borne player here. I started the game out with the warrior class because I figured it would be the most well rounded, however, I did a little reading and found that the samurai and vagabond were supposedly good classes for people just starting out. Is it worth it to reset the little progress I have to start out with a different class that might be better?

This game can be beaten fully naked at lvl 1. Your starting character has very little effect on the rest of your playthrough.

The game doesn’t have classes in the same way other RPGs do, so you’re free to use any and all items you have the minimum stat requirements for. Any time you level up, you can increase any stat as many times as your runes will let you.

If I have one piece of advice, it’s to increase your Vigor to about 60 by the time you beat the game. You can put enough points into other stats to have medium weight and use the weapons and spells you want, and for the most part, the rest can go into Vigor. This is especially good in the beginning when you’re still learning the game.

It literally doesn’t matter at all in the slightest. First time souls-borne and you’re already just looking stuff up? Eww.
