My decision to stop playing online games a few years ago continues to prove that it was a good choice. The games industry in general is going to shit but online games in particular are in race to the bottom of greed, malice, and contempt.
Many games are fun, especially with friends, even if they are crappy on a deeper look (micro transactions etc.). Most mobile games are fun at first–the trick is stopping when they aren’t anymore.
With games blocking Linux users, we can’t even enjoy the beginning. And many more won’t even try to use it.
Seeing games I don’t play get affected by kernel anti-cheat just gives me this big self-serving biased perception that my taste in games is good.
Your taste in games is good, friend! As long as you have fun with what you play, how could it be otherwise?
